Le Philosophe

www.philosophe.com      55 Bond St, ( btwn Bowery & Lafayette St ) NYC

Le Philosophe just opened a few month ago on my favorite street “Bond St”. I have to say this place is my new favorite french restaurant  in downtown NYC. The place is very casual, cute, cozy and interesting menu. Wine sellection are wide and OMG reasonable ( started under $30 for bottle ). You must order these two appetizer. Frog Legs and Pig trotter. They aren’t just interesting! They’re really tasteful. I am definitely not a fan of frog but it was the best frog dish I ever had. Pig trotter with lentils was great winter comfort dish. As for the dessert four of us share Profiterole and it was perfect way to end our meal.

2012 Menu

2015 Menu

Scandinavian Dinner at ”ACME”

Cuisine: Scandinavian

Neighborhood: Noho

Occasions: Goof for dinner with friends, date, group

Signature dishes: Brown Eggs-cauliflower and aged cheese / Raw Radishes- oyster parsley emulsion / Beer and Bread Porridge and Salted Caramel Ice Cream

ACME is one of my favorite restaurants on Great Jones street in Noho (^_^)” Menu is quite interesting “Scandinavian”. They also have a very cute bar in the basement of the restaurant. My favorite dishes at Acme are Hay Roasted Sunchokes with new england gruyère, black winter truffles & Pearl Barley and Clams, with scallops, artichokes, in roasted sunflower broth. I came to this place for dinner three~four times but last time I didn’t see the Roasted Sunckokes on  the menu (>_<) I hope it will be on the menu for my next visit!! Best cocktail from the downstair bar is definitely the Polish pear! This cocktail has egg whites in it. Too bad that vegetarians can’t order this special cocktail……dot dot dot…
