OMG Size Holiday Special Macaron!!!!!(^_^)!!!! Everyone got so excited for this giant size Macaron which my friend brought for Thanksgiving dinner but I was thinking in the back of my mind about how ugly this look……. I know….(-_-)zZz …..I know…. Don’t judge me please….I was very thankful for Macaron!! Can you tell what is this supposed to look like!?  Hey Pumpkin Ha!! My friend bought this Macaron at Lower East Side location. Another Bisous Ciao is located on Bleecker Street in West Village. If you wanna bring unique dessert for party then this Macaron is the right one for you.

I’m the only food blogger in NYC that has never had a “Cronut”

I came to the Dominique Ansel Bakery with my pastry chef friends when it first opened. Chef and owner Doninique Ansel used to be the executive pastry chef for Daniel Boulud at his restaurant Daniel where he created my favorites Raspberry Balsamic Macaron and Canelé. The first (and last) time I was patrolling here they didn’t invent the world famous Cronut yet!!!!!!!!!!!!! The place wasn’t even busy. We sat at an outdoor table in their back garden room where we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon of catching up on food, fashion, and our love life ~ I’m sure you’d love to hear our gossip, but let’s talk about the Cronut now!!!!!

Well, I have nothing to say about it because I still have never had one. There, I said it!!! I feel a weight lifted off my shoulders. For many years people have talked about how good Cronuts are and I avoid to comment because I am still the only food blogger in New York City (or maybe the entire world) that has never had a Cronut. (>_<)””’ Even if I had them now I’m too embarrassed to post about it two years after the craze. I have never even seen them in the front case! Now you can even order them online. The most ludicrous thing is that it is a 10 minute walk away from where I live so I have no excuse. I keep saying that I’m waiting on my friends to go get them with me. I’m really hoping someone will send me a box of Cronuts for Christmas. Then I won’t have to wait in line at 6am camouflaged in sunglasses and a hoodie so no one can tell it’s me… oh gawd!!!!!!

If you’re looking for the new “IT” pastry at Dominique Ansel Bakery, it’s the “Cookie Shot”. It never became as infamous as the Cronut, but it’s quite popular to this day.       189 Spring St, New York, NY 10012

This pastry cafe open 8 months ago next to own their modern Italian restaurant Caffe Falai. Falai used to be on Clinton street in the Lower East Side and after they closed their LES location they kept the place to bake all their baked goods. We love that they’re keeping it local!!
