Ever since the Fat Radish opened last year they became an instant “IT” eatery of Chinatown/LES. The new resty is owned by two British owners who also own a catering and event group called Silkstone. They created dishes that use local and seasonable ingredients with an English twist. The menu is unexpected like mako shark from Montauk, market veggies from locol farmers, or a guilty pleasure duck fat french fries. I recently enjoyed a summer pie with multiple kinds of Peas baked in an amazing crust and it was phenomenal…so fresh and creamy and I liked how it looked too – so cute and puffy (^_^) Too bad the Mako Shark with Wild Rice was unusual but apparently (>_<)””. I will try their Scotch Egg next time (if it’s still on the menu; the great thing about this place is they seem to change the menu seasonally and there’s always a special of the day ). I will report back on some of Cutie Patroller’s “must order dishes” to you soon. The place has chic and rustic decor and the space is cutie with great atmosphere. In some way it reminds me of ABC Kitchen but a more casual LES version and the similar to the vibe of Freemans ( if this helps you to get an idea of the place ). Go with a bunch of friends or date any night of the week or for weekend brunch.
