Chef-Owner: Daniel Burns
Neighborhood: Greenpoint Brooklyn
Occassion: I was here for dinner. Good to come here with foodie.
Seat: I recommend to sit at the chef’s counter.
First I walked through the bar to the restaurant. The restaurant tucked in the back of the beer bar Tørst in Greenpoint Brooklyn. The restaurant itself is a small, 26 seat room with minimalist decor. Luksus was opened 2013 and received a Michelin one-star in 2015. I sat at the chef’s counter right in front of the kitchen to see chef Burns in action, Chef used to work for Noma Copenhagen who create modern Nordic/Scandinavian dishes. The menu is a 5 courses chef’s tasting only with an optional beer pairing for an extra $45/pp. With a $25 corkage fee you can BYOB wine. Our meal began with five different snacks, or amuse bouches. The food was unique and tasty, and everything was beautifully presented. The menu changes every 3-4 months. I hope to go back again sometime to try new menu 🙂
