David Burke Fabrick is a celebrity chef David Burke‘s newest spot in Midtown West. Here is my review of his another restaurant David Burke Kitchen in Soho ( https://cutiepatroller.com/2012/07/06/david-burke-kitchen/ ) from a few years ago.  Me and my client weren’t  in the mood for meat so mainly we ordered seafoods. Foods were good but I didn’t like location and I wasn’t really feeling atmosphere and vibe of place. Highlight of our dining was Tuna Sashimi from appetizer. Thinly sliced tuna were very pretty on pink himalayan salt block ( picture above ). Burrata Salad and Angry Shrimp Fajitas were delicious too. Avocado Panna Cotta and  Fluke Ceviche were both using same plantain chips and they bored me 😦

DB Bistro Moderne is one of Chef Daniel Boulud’s contemporary French bistro restaurant with modern American twist. Restaurant is located on 44 street, a few blocks off Times Square in Midtown. Lunchtime was filled with the typical corporate midtown lunchtime crowd. During weekday between 11:15am-2:30pm they serves $32 two courses lunch Prix Fixe. I was here for patrolling their famous original DB burger. This burger is on ”Bucket Dish NYC”  You know what that mean!!!! You MUST eat this burger before you die!!! I heard about this burger for a while but I wan’t interested to try one. Seriously!? Come On! $35 for burger!? I thought….. but I’m so glad I finally checked it off from my coronary Bucket List. I shared burger with Liz a.k.a Personalitini and let me tell you! Burger was perfect medium rare and I could taste full flavor of Foie Gras & Black Truffle. It was worth every penny. Also we shared pasta and dessert.  . I’m so not dessert girl but WOW! WARM CHOCOLATE FONDANT – Vanilla Ice Cream, Dark Chocolate Sorbet was the best warm chocolate cake I ever had. Well done 🙂

Ootoya is Japanese restaurant chain from Japan. Now they has two different locations in NYC. I don’t come here for dinner but I often stop by for lunch if I’m in Bryant Park area in Midtown. Atmosphere of both places are pretty nice. Specially me knowing how Ootoya are in Japan. Ootoya is quick and cheap, under ten dollars meal kind of restaurant in Japan but here in NY they serves more like $20 for combination meal. Which all the meal comes with Chawanmushi (steamed egg custard ), Miso soup, Rice, Pickles. Quality of foods are very good. Actually better than Japan! My favorites are Chicken Katsu set and Grilled fish set.
