An Always Lovely, Chic Lunch at “Maialino”
Ever since my office moved from Midtown to the Flatiron area, I often go to Maialino for lunch during the week. Maialino is located at the Gramercy hotel on Lexington Avenue across the street from the charming Gramercy Park. The lunch crowd here is always a fashionable, casual elegant.
At lunch they have a two-course pre-fix for $35 plus a complimentary cookie and biscotti at end of your meal.
My usual choice for an appetizer is the prosciutto with fresh mozzarella balls. The entree I absolutely I love is the steak with fava beans. One dish that I had had recently and I won’t be ordering again is the seafood stew….you can see a photo below.
Maialino is one of the Danny Meyer‘s Group restaurants. It’s exclusive chef Nick Anderer is the same as the new hot-spot pizza restaurant Marta‘s.
