Brunch at ”Friend of a farmer”

I had a great brunch at Friend of a Farmer, located in the Gramercy Park area this past Sunday. This 2-floor brunch spot is gonna make you feel like you’re having breakfast at a Bed & Breakfast in the country or your grandmother’s house. While I was here, I had flashbacks of having brunch at this other great place called
White Dog Cafe in the University City location in Philadelphia a few years ago. My usual choice for brunch is a
Salmon Bennie but I asked the waiter what is their popular dishes from the brunch menu and he recommended ”
Farmers Market Omelette,
Healthy Farmers Omelette,
Hearty Omelette,Wheat & Tuna sandwich, Pumpkin Pancakes ,
Blueberry Pancakes, French Toast, or Gramercy Park salad. I skipped the Salmon Bennie and instead ordered
Old Fashion Pumpkin Pancakes with toasted walnuts & maple syrup and a
Hearty Omelette w/ roasted red peppers & mozzarella cheese with
Orange juice & a couple of coffees (no fufu bloodymary & cappucino!! I stayed old American: simple & classic !!) The Omelette was sooo fluffy and fantastic on the iron pan!! You must order!! How cute that we have this place in NYC for Sundays, so we don’t have to stay at a Bed & Breakfast or visit granny any more (Sorry granny…..LOL)
Ps I do enjoy staying at Bed & Breakfasts. My last stay was at a place called
Beltane Ranch in Sonoma California for a friend’s wedding. Their close friends and family members stayed at this mini Bed & Breakfast and they had a super cute and rustic outside wedding in the late afternoon till night. The next morning I had a very memorable breakfast with the newlyweds & their families. Cutie Patroller always enjoys something new & something old…..xoxo
