Dell’ Anima is a small cute Italian restaurant located in Greenwich Village. The place showcases two bars: one for drinks and one facing the open kitchen, where chefs dish out modern Toscan Italian dishes. New York City offers so many choices of Italian, but Dell’ Anima’s menu is unique-like a Sea Urchin Spaghetti, and I like the fact that the menu changes often. I can say the best seat for groups is the high table with stools in front but if you like counter seats, you can enjoy all the action of the kitchen up front! I had the Fluku Crudo, Grilled Octopus, Wild Mushroom Pasta, and their Veal Shank was very good. Unfortunately, the shrimp polenta was a disappointment and the Scallop Sea Urchin was ok (I’ve had much better in a Japanese Italian restaurant.) Dell’Anima is known for their pasta, so if you go there make sure you order at least one pasta dish.
